When you pass through the entrance to Sovereign Hill it is like stepping back in time, as horse drawn carriages roll along the unpaved streets, and people in period dress make their way busily amongst the buildings, shops and houses that replicate the era. Pan for gold in Red Gully Creek and watch the tradesman as they work.
