Description
On the east coast of Tasmania in Australia lies the magnificent and untouched Bay of Fires. This magical landscape of stunning contrasts features pure white beaches, vivid orange granite boulders and a ribbon of sapphire and emerald seas, all fringed with rich forests. In 2009, this area was named one of the world's hottest travel destination by international guide book Lonely Planet, once you experience it first hand, you'll understand why. They say "White beaches of hourglass-fine sand, Bombay Sapphire sea, an azure sky - and nobody. This is the secret edge of Tasmania, laid out like a pirate's treasure map of perfect beach after sheltered cove, all fringed with forest. It's not long since the Bay of Fires came to international attention and the crowds are bound to flock. Now is the time to visit".
A fantastic Walking and Camping Experience
Life's An Adventure's Bay of Fires guided walks are for those looking for a 3 day walking experience with the creature comforts! Your bags will be transported each day, leaving you free to enjoy your walk. As the Bay of Fires is a remote and secluded area, your nights will be spent camping under the stars in walk-in touring tents on night one and on night two you will stay in our waterfront beach shack on a beautiful Ansons Bay at the Bay of Fires. You'll be treated to fine Tasmanian wine and cheeses, delicious dinners featuring wonderful Tasmanian produce and more. This is a unique tour - exclusive to Life's An Adventure.

The day starts in Launceston at the Hotel Grand Chancellor where we meet at 9.00am for our transfer to the Bay of Fires. We enjoy a scenic drive winding through rich farmlands to the northern part of Mount William National Park. We begin our walking adventure from the Mt William National Park enjoying breathtaking, remote and untouched wilderness areas. We head south discovering spectacular landscapes of remote castaway coves This area is likened to an impressionist's pallette featuring a ribbon of sapphire seas contrasting with pure white sands and burnt orange rocky outcrops. We explore scenic Boulder Point and Cobler Rocks. Our walk today is a medium grade 13kms with rocky headlands to negotiate. We arrive at our bush campsite behind the beach trees to find our stand up touring tents erected and your overnight bags waiting in your tent. Pre-dinner you'll enjoy a glass of wine with cheeses and relax as a delicious dinner of fine Tasmanian produce is prepared for your enjoyment.
